The Department of East Asian Studies invites applications for a visiting lecturer of Japanese language for a period of up to three years. The appointment will be effective July 1, 2018. M.A. degree is minimally required at the time of appointment. Native or near-native fluency in Japanese and competency in spoken and written English is required. Candidates should have experience teaching English-speaking college students at all levels. Experience in directing Japanese language courses is also desirable.
Please provide a letter of application, curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, and a teaching portfolio, which should include a list of courses taught, syllabi of representative courses, and a video of recent classroom teaching (on DVD or as a link to online video) along with appropriate syllabus.
