Visiting Assistant Professor in US History
The Department of History at Case Western Reserve University seeks qualified candidates for a one-year position in US History, at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, for Academic Year 2018-19. Topical and chronological fields are open, with a preference for candidates who can teach courses in cultural history that include questions of gender and who can teach both beginning and advanced undergraduates as well as graduate students in US history. A strong commitment to research and publication, demonstrated teaching excellence, and concern for issues of diversity are essential. The teaching load for this position is two courses per semester. Candidates must have Ph.D. in hand by July 1, 2018.
The position may be renewable for a second year, depending upon curricular needs and budgetary approval determined in March 2019.
