The Department of History at La Salle University seeks applicants with a specialization in Africa / African Diaspora history for a position as a full-time, one-year Visiting Assistant Professor to begin in Fall 2018 with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach undergraduate survey courses, as well as upper-level undergraduate courses in his or her area of specialty.
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in History or ABD in History with evidence of intent to complete Ph.D. by August 2018, and college or university teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in hand at time of application. Candidate has subfield in African-American history, and online teaching experience.
Position begins in August 2018, pending final budgetary approval.
