Latin American History. Tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning August 2018. Area of specialization is open, but strength in the histories of indigenous peoples of Central America and South America is highly desirable. Ph.D. required at time of employment.
Teaching responsibilities include lower-division surveys, upper-division courses in colonial and modern Latin America, and graduate seminars. The teaching load is 2/2. Conference travel funding and research support are available. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and publications.
Candidates will be expected to support the learning needs of students from diverse backgrounds; integrate multicultural experiences into instructional methods; and demonstrate a commitment to engaging communities underrepresented in the academy.
