~~The Department of Humanities at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi invites applications for a one-year (September-May) position as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Europe and the World, beginning September 1, 2017. Candidates working in a comparative, transnational, or global context are preferred, as are those specializing in the broader history of trans-Atlantic and Europe-U.S. relations. The teaching load is 4/4. The successful candidate will teach Western Civilization I and II, two sections of the candidate’s preferred half of the U.S. survey each semester, an upper-division course on 19th Century European History in fall of 2017, and an upper-division course on European History in spring of 2018.
PhD in history is required; advanced ABD considered, but must have PhD in hand by August, 2017. Experience teaching European and U.S. History is preferred.
