Earlham College invites applications for a full-time one-year appointment, with the possibility of renewal, in African History at the Visiting Assistant Professor level beginning Fall 2017. The Department seeks candidates committed to teaching excellence and liberal arts education. The candidate must be able to make a significant contribution to the college's interdisciplinary program in African and African American Studies. Responsibilities include teaching first-year intensive writing courses, the African History Sequence (To and Since 1880), and courses in fields of specialization/interests. Ph.D. preferred.
