Susquehanna University seeks to appoint a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Chinese Language and Asian Culture. Open area of specialization. Ph.D. required by August, 2017. Candidates must have native or near-native fluency in English and Standard Mandarin Chinese. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching, an ability to teach Standard Mandarin at all levels, and the ability to contribute English-taught classes in a secondary area related to the candidate’s expertise. Examples include, but are not limited to, Asian culture, Asian history, and introductory courses in a second language. Excellent teaching, ongoing scholarly activity and institutional service are required for tenure.
