Slippery Rock University invites applications for a historian of African-American History from any period beginning August 2017. A sub-field in Public History or Digital History is preferred. This faculty member will be expected to teach in our online MA program and one summer course every two years, and participate in co-curricular activities.
Minimum Qualifications
ABD in History, with a focus in African-American History. Degree must be completed by August 2017. Commitment to the education of diverse populations. Commitment to the education of diverse populations. Successful performance in an on-campus interview, including teaching demonstration.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in History, with focus in African-American History and demonstrable training or experience in either Public or Digital History. Previous college level teaching experience and an active research agenda preferred.
