Michigan State University seeks to fill a one-year, full-time, fixed-term position in Hindi language teaching. The position will begin August 16, 2017 as a nine-month academic year appointment in the Department of Linguistics and Germanic, Slavic, Asian and African Languages. Candidates should have at least an MA degree in an appropriate field, and a record of excellence in teaching Hindi, preferably in the U.S. An excellent command of Hindi and English is required. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications. The successful candidate will bring innovative ideas and language program experience to a growing university-level Hindi language program. Familiarity with communicative language teaching is a must and the person will benefit from a supportive language community that includes the Center for Language Teaching Advancement, world-renowned study abroad initiatives, and the Asian Studies Center.
