United States History – African American - Tenure-Track position – AY 2017-2018
The Division of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of New Haven invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in the history of the United States with a focus in African American history or a related sub-field. Interdisciplinary approaches are welcome.
Our Division seeks a dynamic teacher committed to experiential learning and active and stimulating pedagogies. We seek a visionary teacher-scholar who will contribute to our newly developed Race and Ethnic Studies concentration and our United States history program. Candidates must have an engaging scholarly agenda and an interest in mentoring undergraduate research.
ABDs will be considered. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. by the start of the appointment.
