Job Description:
The Marietta College History Department announces a tenure-track, assistant professor position in the social history of colonial North America and/or the Early American Republic. Teaching responsibilities include both halves of the US survey, and upper division courses in the candidate's areas of interest.
Our collegial department supports its members' related interests in teaching in a small liberal-arts environment and in playing active roles in the scholarly community.

Job Requirements
Ability to teach courses in the area of race, gender, or Native American history considered a plus. Marietta College aims to hire a historian with interest in promoting the history of the Northwest territory. The Ph.D. should be in hand by the time the position begins in August 2017.
