The University of North Florida seeks to hire a tenure track assistant professor specializing in Twentieth Century U.S. History, with an emphasis on the post-World War II era. We are interested in candidates whose research and teaching focuses on foreign policy, particularly during the Cold War, and who can offer classes on political, economic, social, and public history. Teaching experience and evidence of potential for excellence in teaching and scholarship are required. The appointment begins in August 2017; only candidates with a PhD in hand by that date should apply. Prior teaching experience at the upper and graduate level is desired, as is a willingness to teach a research methods class and online classes.
