The Department of American Indian Studies at San Diego State University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in American Indian History with a specialization in California Indians and/or Federal Indian Law. We seek candidates committed to collaboration with indigenous communities and a practice-based research agenda that can be implemented easily in Southern California. Rigorous publication record and interdisciplinary teaching ability desired. Completion of PhD by August 2017 is expected.
