African American and Diaspora Studies, Tenured Associate to Full Professor Comparative African Diaspora Studies
The African American and Diaspora Studies Program at Vanderbilt University seeks a tenured associate or full professor with outstanding scholarship on the African diaspora in comparative perspective. We especially encourage applications from scholars with interests in Africa and the United States, and/or in gender, though other areas of specialization will be considered. Academic leadership experience is a plus; the candidate will be expected to assume an active leadership role in the unit. The successful candidate may have training in any relevant discipline and will have the opportunity to be affiliated with other units in the College of Arts and Science.
