Doheny Postdoctoral Scholar – Research Associate position in the History of Southern California
2016-2018
USC Libraries and The Huntington-USC Institute on California and the West (ICW) seek applications for a two-year (one-year renewable term) Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate whose work explores the history of Southern California. The successful applicant will demonstrate scholarly need to utilize the research holdings of the USC Libraries; the institution’s primary source collections are especially rich in sources related to local, regional, and state history, with over 200 collections dealing with Los Angeles in the Department of Special Collections alone.
The postdoctoral position is to be split between ICW and the USC Libraries, and it is designed to further the successful candidate’s scholarly trajectory and profile emphasizing the use of the California and western American collections housed within USC Libraries across campus. Candidates must hold a completed Ph.D. by July 1, 2016.
