US WOMEN AND GENDER. The Department of History at The University of Memphis seeks an outstanding scholar for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the History of Women and Gender in the United States, with a specialization in the 20th century, pending funding availability. Ph.D. in History required by the time of appointment. The successful candidate will possess a strong research agenda, good teaching skills, and the willingness to regularly teach History of Women in America, US history survey courses, and graduate historiography courses.
Initial review of applications will begin on Monday, November 30, 2015, and may continue until the position is filled. We plan on holding preliminary interviews at the annual meeting of the American Historical Association in Atlanta, January 7-10, 2016.
