The History Department at Seton Hall University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in the history of Medieval Europe to start Fall 2016. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in all periods of Medieval History as well as both halves of the Western Civilization survey. Additional teaching responsibilities may include departmental methods seminars and sections of the university core curriculum. Ph.D. is required by time of appointment; teaching experience and publications are advantageous. Faculty members carry a 3/3 teaching load, pursue an active program of research and publication, and engage in service. Applicants must understand and be willing to support the Catholic mission of the university.
