The Department of History and Philosophy at Kennesaw State University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track, assistant professor position in the History of the South Asia (broadly defined) beginning August 2016. The field is open to any time period or thematic interest, but the ideal candidate will be expected to teach courses in South Asian history (again, construed broadly), the world history survey, as well as courses to support the major in accordance with the candidate’s specialty. A commitment to excellence in teaching, complemented by strong scholarship and service is expected of all faculty members in KSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
A Ph.D. in History or related studies or the foreign equivalent, or its equivalent in training, ability, and/or experience is required at time of appointment, as well as a record of effective university teaching and demonstrated potential for research.
