SUNY Delhi is located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains; the campus is approximately 3.5 hours from New York City and less than 2 hours from the state capital of Albany.
Job Description:
The Liberal Arts and Sciences division of SUNY Delhi seeks to fill a tenure-track assistant professor position in world history beginning in August 2016. The successful candidate will be a generalist in world history with a non-U.S. field of specialization. Courses will include both halves of the Western/World History surveys and upper-level courses in the candidate's field of specialty. Responsibilities will also include online course development and instruction. SUNY Delhi does not have a History major, so the majority of History courses are offered to fulfill General Education Requirements to students from a wide range of programs and backgrounds. Active participation in the college community is expected, including student advisement, curriculum development, and departmental and college committee work.
Requirements:
Ph.D. in history from an accredited institution and experience teaching history at the college level required.
