The Department of History at Sam Houston State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in American Religious History, to begin Fall 2016. We seek an active scholar whose research interests may include subjects that are multicultural or transnational in approach or that consider American Religious History in a broader global context. Research interests need not necessarily focus on the U.S. national period in North America. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in American Religious History and the U.S. History survey. Ph.D. must be completed before the start of the appointment.
