The Department of History at the University of Rhode Island seeks to appoint a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the history of the United States in the
Colonial/Revolutionary period and the history of race, with preferred specializations in Native American history, slavery, or Atlantic World history. Appointment date will be Fall 2016. Teach the first half of the U.S. survey; upper-level courses in Colonial/Revolutionary history; and other courses (including the capstone course for majors and a graduate seminar) in the area of specialization.
