The Department of History at Texas A&M University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship to begin September 2016. All applicants engaged in the study of Latinas/os throughout the Americas in any geographic, chronological, and thematic specialization will be enthusiastically considered, especially those who complement existing areas of strength. The successful candidate, with Ph.D. in hand or all requirements for the degree completed at the time of appointment, will maintain an ambitious, productive research agenda, teach two courses per semester, recruit and train exceptional graduate students, and participate in university and professional affairs. Please submit a letter of application, c.v., three letters of recommendation, and a short writing sample (article or chapter) by November 1, 2015.
