The History Department of Clark University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in modern Chinese history (1600 to the present) to begin in fall 2016. The successful candidate will be expected to teach the full range of Chinese history, one or more survey courses in at least one other area of Asian history, and to participate actively in Clarkâs Asian Studies program. Promise of scholarly excellence and evidence of strong teaching are essential. Candidates must have PhD in hand no later than August 2016.
