The Department of History at the Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor in African History. All fields and specialties dealing with the period before 1960 will be considered. The position, which begins fall semester 2016, is a joint appointment with African Studies with the tenure home in History. PhD must be in hand by the time of the appointment.
