The College of Arts and Sciences at J. F. Oberlin University, Tokyo, invites applications for a tenure-track/tenured position in the field of Japanese language pedagogy. Appointment will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, depending upon qualifications and experience. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. or equivalent record of accomplishment, and the ability to perform in a bilingual (Japanese and English) work environment at both the undergraduate and the graduate levels.
Applications will be accepted from June 8, 2015 to August 20, 2015 (Japan time), to be followed immediately by initial screening of applications. Short-listed candidates will be asked to come to campus for an interview and demonstration lesson in October or November 2015. Teaching duties will commence on April 1, 2016.
