The Weill Cornell Institute of Geriatric Psychiatry is accepting applications for two separate NIMH-sponsored (NRSA/T32) full time, postdoctoral research fellowship available beginning in the 2015-2016 academic year.
We are seeking applications from talented and motivated candidates with MDs and PhDs in psychology, epidemiology, and other social science disciplines who possess an interest in aging and mental health and a dedication to the research enterprise. The Fellowship utilizes the training and research structures of the NIMH-supported Advanced Center for Interventions and Services Research in Geriatric Psychiatry (ACISR) which focuses on: 1) psychosocial, biological, and neuropsychological mechanisms related to the course of geriatric depression, and 2) intervention and services studies of complex and underserved elders in community settings. Fellows work closely with mentors to tailor their training to individual interests and career development needs. George S. Alexopoulos, M.D., and Martha L. Bruce, PhD, M.P.H., direct the Fellowship programs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary training faculty.
