Applicants should possess a relevant PhD degree, with related teaching and research experience in higher education, a solid publication record, and the ability to deliver the following courses: (i) Early Imperial China, (ii) Mid Imperial China, (iii) The Historical Role of China in the World, (iv) Tackling Popular Misconceptions about Chinese History and Civilization and (v) Eminent Figures in the History of Various Disciplines and Professions. Interest in teaching the following courses would be an advantage: (i) The Chinese Diaspora, (ii) History of Southeast Asia and (iii) Global History of Tourism

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two to three years commencing September 2015. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Terms of appointment:
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
