Washington State University Tri-Cities seeks qualified applicants for a two-year Visiting Assistant Clinical Professor Position in Digital Humanities/Digital Archives. The successful applicant will teach undergraduate courses in History, Digital Technology and Culture and/or related areas and serve as lead archivist in WSU Tri-Cities’ Hanford History Project.
The successful candidate will help foster the integration of digital tools and methods into curricula across a range of academic departments and programs and will collaborate with current faculty and library staff to track the Hanford archival materials by labeling, digitizing, and adding detailed descriptions of each item to the museum collection management system.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have a Masters degree in History, Archival Studies, Museology, Digital Humanities or related field and have at least two years of experience with an academic institution, historic organization or agency working in the digital humanities. Ability to perform work consistent with applicable professional archivist requirements, standards, and best practices. Applicants must also possess the ability to teach at the undergraduate level.
Preferred Qualifications: A PhD in History, Archival Studies, Digital Humanities or related field strongly preferred. At least two years teaching at the undergraduate level in Digital Humanities, History or related field. Archive conservation experience and research expertise in World War II and Cold War history and historic sites.
