The Department of History & Political Science at the University of North Alabama (www.una.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in 20th-century U.S. History, especially political, economic, and/or diplomatic history after World War II. Preference is given to candidates with experience in public history. Teaching responsibilities will include U.S. History surveys, advanced undergraduate courses in the candidate's area(s) of specialty, as well as graduate courses. The successful candidate must possess an active research agenda and demonstrate excellence in both scholarship and teaching. A Ph.D. in History or Public History in hand by August 2015 is required.
