The Urban Affairs and Planning Department (UAP) at Hunter College is holding an open rank search to enhance its research and teaching profile in the leadership and management of public and nonprofit organizations in an urban setting. We also welcome scholars with expertise in policy analysis and implementation. UAP is an interdisciplinary department with two graduate programs (MUP in Urban Planning, MS in Urban Affairs) and an undergraduate program in Urban Studies. It has strong ties to the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter and other professional schools at the college. This search is part of a larger effort to focus the resources of the department on the study of urban leadership, management, and policy. The successful candidate will be expected to play a major role in that effort.
