The Faculty of Humanities at the University of Basel invites applications for a Professorship in African History (tenured or tenure track) starting 1st February 2015.
We are looking for applicants who can teach the history of subsaharan Africa and undertake research in this area, with a focus on modern history. We expect applicants to collaborate in establishing research projects in African History and to cooperate with the interdisciplinary Center for African Studies and many other Africa-related institutions in Basel.
The position will be filled according to the qualifications of the applicant at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor.
