The Irving K. Barber School of Arts and Sciences at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan campus invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Sociology at the rank of Assistant Professor. The position will be held in Unit 6 - History and Sociology in the Irving K. Barber School of Arts and Sciences (http://web.ubc.ca/okanagan/ikbarberschool/welcome.html).
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Sociology, a strong research record and demonstrated excellence in and commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching. Areas of specialization are Criminology and Justice Studies. Teaching is expected in areas relating to Sociology and Criminology. The position is anticipated to begin July 1, 2014.
