Part Time Research Associate

The Research Associate provides assistance with departmental work, which may include researching, cataloguing of works, and administrative tasks.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting Senior Curator with research, planning and development of curatorial projects.
- Collection cataloguing including handling and assessing work, entering information into a database, and conducting research on any missing cataloguing data.
- Answering inquiries from scholars and the general public about the collection and assisting researchers and scholars who have appointments to view works onsite.
- Providing administrative coordination and support for day-to-day functions of the department.
A Bachelor’s degree in art history or fine arts is required; a completed Master’s degree or Master’s degree in process is preferred. Candidate must have experience in the proper care, handling and storage of works of art. Candidate must be familiar with museum cataloguing standards and conventions. Experience with ARGUS museum cataloguing database or similar database is preferred.
