EDITORIAL POSITION: The Papers of the Revolutionary Era Pinckney Statesmen project (1750-1830), a born-digital scholarly edition funded by NEH and located in the History Department at the University of South Carolina, is seeking an Assistant Editor. The position, to begin June 15, 2014, is a 12-month non-tenure-track, full-time, and benefits-eligible grant-funded appointment as a Research Associate. Applicants should have a Ph.D. at the time of appointment.
We seek a candidate specializing in the U.S. revolutionary and early national period with a strong background in diplomatic history, and/or southern military or political history. Experience in scholarly editing and advanced reading and translation skills in Spanish or French are desirable but not required.
