The History and Political Science Department at Illinois College invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in US History beginning Fall 2014. Candidates must be able to offer a 2-semester US History survey. Research field and teaching specialty are open, with preference for candidates who specialize in African American History and/or Borderlands History. Ability to teach a World Civilization survey is a plus.
Teaching load is three four-credit courses per semester. Completed PhD by August 1, 2014 preferred.
