The Tusculum College Department of History and Museum Studies invites applicants for a full-time faculty position at the rank of assistant professor in American history from the colonial era through the nineteenth-century. In addition to survey and upper-division courses in American history, teaching duties will involve upper-division courses in the general-education program, including either The Political Traditions of the West or The Hebrew and Christian Traditions. Review of applications will begin January 20th and will continue until the position is filled. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in history in hand before the start date and will demonstrate enthusiasm for undergraduate teaching and mentoring and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
