In anticipation of increases in enrollment for the 2013-2014 academic year, Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) invites applicants for faculty positions in History Teacher Certification starting August 1, 2014. The successful candidate will be expected to teach the History Content Methods (Teacher Certification) course in addition to the US history survey courses. Applicants should demonstrate significant innovations in teaching, superior service to the institution, and established research credentials. Commitment to building a new college is also essential. GGC emphasizes a student-centered learning environment. Faculty will be expected to teach lower-division courses in addition to upper-division courses.
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience with excellent benefits.

Ph.D in History
Applicants must have a minimum of 18 history graduate credit hours.

Applicants should hold the doctorate or appropriate terminal degree in their discipline before or within the semester of the start date. Advising and mentoring are expected of all faculty. In accordance with Board of Regents Policy governing GGC faculty, successful applicants will be eligible to receive five- or three-year renewable appointments or one-year traditional appointments may also be approved.
