Ouachita Baptist University (www.obu.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor of History beginning Fall 2014. PhD preferred in Public History or in another concentration with substantial public history experience. ABD considered. The successful applicant will teach introductory-level courses in the department and in the university’s interdisciplinary general education program as well as advanced offerings in specialty field, including the department’s emerging undergraduate concentration in Public History. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in digital humanities, museum studies, historic preservation, oral history, or related fields. Applicants should demonstrate commitment to the university’s mission, to undergraduate teaching, and to research and professional development.
