The School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts at the University of California, Merced has one position open at either the Assistant (tenure-track) or Associate/Full Professor (tenured) level with expertise in World Heritage from the perspective of Digital Heritage and/or Digital Humanities. We seek a candidate whose research methods involve visualization. Candidates may focus on depicting existing monuments, artifacts and/or landscapes using methods such as GIS or 3D reconstruction; or may use information visualization to study social or spatial phenomena. No specific disciplinary background is required, but priority will be given to scholars whose research crosses boundaries of discipline, genre, geography, and era.
