Assistant Professor in Medical Anthropology
University of Dallas
The University of Dallas’s Constantin College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position for a beginning Assistant Professor in medical anthropology with start date 27 August 2014 (Ph.D. in hand by the start date). The successful candidate will be the first full-time faculty member in the newly established, undergraduate, interdisciplinary social sciences major, the Human Sciences in the Contemporary World (“HUSC”). See the web site for further information, URL http://www.udallas.edu/constantin/programs/humansciences/index.html
A willingness to work closely with undergraduates and encourage student research is essential. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach introduction to the social sciences, and either contemporary social theory or history of one of the human sciences.
The University of Dallas is a selective, independent Roman Catholic liberal arts university. The curriculum of the undergraduate Constantin College is based on a rigorous, wide-ranging program of core courses (60 hours, plus a language).
