Pacific Lutheran University: Assistant Professor, Full-time, Tenure-Track Appointment for a person specializing in Modern China beginning September 2014. Teaching load of six courses per year. Completed Ph.D. by September 2014 essential.
Candidates should demonstrate commitment to excellent undergraduate teaching and to historical research in Modern Chinese history. Candidate must be able to teach courses on Modern China, Revolutionary China, Modern Korean History (from the Yi Dynasty), and survey courses on East Asian Societies. Candidate must also be able to contribute to PLU’s vibrant Chinese Studies program.
