The Department of History at Middle Tennessee State University seeks applications for a tenure-track position in history with a specialty in pedagogy at the Assistant/Associate rank. Other research fields open. This person will teach the undergraduate course "Teaching Historical Thinking," history surveys, and upper division courses in the research field, and serve as a liaison to the College of Education. Preference will be given to candidates with experiences in developing and coordinating outreach and continuing education initiatives for K-12 history teachers and administering National History Day regional competitions. Active research agenda expected. Position begins August 2014. PhD in History required by appointment date.
