Hiring Director of Student Music

The newly established Yale-NUS College (www.yale-nus.edu.sg) in Singapore, a collaboration between the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Yale University, seeks to hire a Director of Student Music. The faculty member will supervise an active program of student music activities, including singing groups, chamber orchestra, band, and dance troupes. Interest in connections with other artistic forms would be useful. The successful candidate will also teach courses in Asian or Western music and will co-ordinate offerings with the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music. Candidates should hold PhD or DMA or have the equivalent in performance experience. Depending on qualifications, the candidate may be eligible for a tenure-track appointment in the Division of the Humanities. Yale-NUS is building excellent facilities for music practice and performance and for dance and has a close relationship with the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory.
