Wesleyan University. The African American Studies Program invites applications for a tenure-track position in African American Studies at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning fall 2014. Applicants should have a PhD in Political Science, Sociology, or African American Studies, and demonstrated excellence in teaching and research. Wesleyan is a highly selective liberal arts college with strong support for teaching and research. The teaching load is two courses per semester. We seek candidates with research and teaching expertise in the fields of politics, comparative politics, social policy, political sociology, social or political theory, with specific focus on the African American experience.
