Academic Coordinator in General Studies Program & Advising Center. Washington State University is seeking to fill an Academic Coordinator position (AP; full-time- 12 months appointment) to serve as academic advisor and instructor, beginning February 15, 2013.
The Academic Coordinator position is responsible for providing academic advisement and information to prospective and current students, faculty and staff. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to: serving as a primary contact for inquiries regarding academic courses, student graduation, undergraduate advising policy and procedures, and administration of the undergraduate advising system for the program; reviewing applications, transfer evaluations, and transcripts to determine student eligibility to certify a major. In addition, the position entails serving as instructor for courses in the program, including but not limited to LibA 497 (General Studies' internship program).
