The Department of East Asian Studies at New York University invites applications for a one-year position as Visiting Assistant Professor in modern Chinese literature and culture. Appointment will begin September 1, 2013, pending budgetary and administrative approval. Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. by August 2013. The Department seeks a scholar with broad, possibly interdisciplinary intellectual background, who will teach primarily undergraduate courses on modern Chinese literary and cultural texts and theories.
