TENURE-TRACK POSITION – Aboriginal Religion & Culture

The Department of Religion and Culture invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Aboriginal Religion and Culture at the rank of Assistant Professor commencing July 1, 2013, subject to budgetary approval. A completed doctorate is required at the time of appointment. Candidates from disciplines other than Religious Studies are invited to apply provided they are clearly qualified to teach courses in Religion and Culture. The successful candidate will be expected to teach four courses per year, to maintain an active research agenda and to engage in academic service and will be able to support undergraduate and graduate programs including the Laurier-Waterloo Joint PhD in Religious Diversity in North America (Canada, United States, Mexico). Preference will be given to candidates who have proficiency in an aboriginal language.
