The Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice at the University of South Alabama invites applications for a non-tenure track (9 month), Assistant Professor position in political science to begin August 15, 2013. USA is the only major public university on the upper Gulf Coast and is committed to partnership with the communities it serves. Mobile, within 100 mile radius of which the population is more than one million, is the oldest city in Alabama and diverse in culture.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in political science, with specialties in American politics and comparative politics. ABDs near the completion of the degree will also be considered. We especially welcome applications from candidates who can augment existing course offerings in our department. The Department offers undergraduate degrees in political science and criminal justice and the MPA.
