LATIN AMERICA: The Department of History at the Johns Hopkins University invites applications for an historian of Latin America, starting in Fall 2013. Regional area of specialization and chronological period are open, although candidates working in the area of South America are strongly encouraged to apply. The search is at the rank of assistant professor. A PhD in hand before the beginning of the appointment, as well as evidence of scholarly potential are required. In addition to teaching in the History Department, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the interdisciplinary mission of our Latin American Studies Program.
