South Asia and World History. The History Faculty, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track historian of South Asia who is also qualified to teach World History. The position will be filled at the rank of Assistant Professor effective July 1, 2013. Candidates must have the Ph.D. in hand by September 1, 2013. The successful candidate will demonstrate innovation and excellence in scholarly research as well as a strong commitment to teaching.
